Excellent tablet
Thie Samsung Galaxy 8 tablet has been one of the best purchases we’ve made. I was recently diagnosed with Cancer, and as such was unable to sit upright for long periods without severe nausea. This powerful tablet allowed me the freedom to be able to stay connected to friends and feel normal still. The battery life is excellent, with 12.5 hours of just general use, and a good 5 to 7 hours if you’re constantly playing games. I play the cutesy type games, so I can’t speak for how something like Diabolo would run. The ability to add in a SD card, extending the storage is also wonderful, it allows me to have all the games on the card, without taking up the room on the tablet. The screen is a great size, and it’s easy to hold, especially if you get the cover that allows you to prop it up and be hands free. I would definitely recommend this seller as well, since we received the tablet very promptly, and it was very well packed.

My second Samsung Tab A8
I am very happy with Samsung equipment generally. It just works. Does everything I need it to do. I bought this because my 8 Gb version ran out of memory. I have had it probably 10 years.My only reason for dropping the grade to 4 star is the battery life its poor I have to plug it in everyday I don’t use it that much but it drains quicker than I would expect on a new machine.

Good Tablet
Read many negative reviews online about this tablet, but having just bought my wife an A7 which was also panned by the critics and coming to the conclusion that they were mostly wrong I gave it a shot. As before, they are mostly wrong about this tablet. True its not an iPad or one of the more expensive Samsung Tabs but nonetheless its very competent. Two things that let it down are a lack of a flash and mean storage space. You can expand the storage – I believe its up to a TB- so that is mitigated, the camera you will just have to live with. The other criticisms battery life, poor screen, bad build quality must just be down to individual taste or bad luck because none of those issues are present in my tablet. For the sake of fairness I should point out that some people buy tablets expecting them to have the capabilities of a laptop, but it doesn’t matter what your poison is in mobile tech, its still just a tablet. So don’t expect too much. All in all good enough for most people.

arrived on time in good condition though it took ages to download all the necessary apps and updates as you’d expect. it looks great. still getting used to using it and downloading pics and stuff from my old android tab. loved the price too.

Seems to be working well so far, does fill up fast which does slow it down a bit but will be adding a memory card and see if that makes a difference. It’s got a nice look to it and decent weight. Bright crisp screen and decent speakers

Disappointed
Have to say I’m disappointed with this tablet. Considering it has 3gb ram it’s rather slow. And even turning it on is a bit of an issue. The screen is so close to the edge that when holding you can’t help but put your thumb on the screen, that prevents your other hand from activating apps or swipeing the screen.I purchased a cover to help with that problem and now the whole thing is heavier than I would want. According to writeup it comes with TV service but I haven’t found this yet.I find myself using my phone more.

Great Tablet
This does everything I wanted it to and more. Great value for money and really glad I bought it.Took a a bit of finding my way around the settings and stuff at first, not the easiest and had to Google a few things to get it the way I wanted.Why Amazon ask you to review battery life on a new product is pointless hence my zero rating, I just don’t know yet, it’s new! Need to pick your game up Amazon!

This has no double tap wake up.
It very good for playing games. Clear screen shows depth of colour.One thing it lacks it does not have double tap screen wake up, which I thought was basic for all Samsung devices. Maybe an update will correct this issue. So you have to keep pressing the side key to turn it on, annoying and inconveniente. Otherwise good size, light weight and good value for money.

I’m not a techie but for the cost the tablet is great. Clear and brite screen, fast enough operation, sound great due to Dolby Atmos and four speakers, blue tooth great, WiFi great, no issues at all so far. Beautiful build quality.

Overall good. But see video. If in an app, it kicks me out randomly, then apps disappear, then can be up to 2 minutes before apps appear again and can use. Asking anyone if this is faulty?

Could of been better
Bought this to replace my Samsung tab A because the battery had degraded. The screen on the A8 is really good quality and the tablet is quite fast. But the storage is only 32 gb which I knew but after downloading a few apps only 10 gb were left plus the battery life is worse than my old one.

Great…for 4 months
Bought this item in July for college. Worked great…until 3 weeks ago when it randomly stopped registering that the charger was plugged in and the power/lock button stopped doing its job. Now having to seek out help and pay out more money to find the fault. Disappointing.

I read some reviews that said the resolution was poor, I have no issues with the screen, the 4 speakers have great sound. I like that I can add storage. I have been using it with Lightroom for editing photos, it is fast and has god battery life

I received my tablet today today I thought the tab coming direct from retailers but when I takeout from the box their is a hand print back of the tab I little bit concerned about it is this really a boxed tab or used and after ten minutes of using the tablet become hot please give me some suggestions what should I do because I’m not that kind of person who now ready to return or change it because this process makes me piss off.

Don’t go for the 34GB.
It’s a great looking tablet and works well apart from the memory. By the time you add your apps you’re left with less than 10GB and further updates keep eating into your remaining memory until before you know it it’s ground to a half. I’ve got a 128GB SD card and tried downloading and while it does transfer onto the SD card it drains also drains the tablets memory. There’s also nothing that I can see on the tablet that let’s you manually swap downloads onto the card from the tablet to save the systems memory . So a word to the wise pay the extra money for more storage. Myself I’ll look into the problem further and if it still plays up I’ll put in for a refund and pay extra for more GB.

Tablet is ok ,it’s classic Samsung quality but the seller advertising to get £50 Google play voucher which is not true I spoke with amazon about it but they said that they got nothing to do cuz it’s a seller wrong advertising ,so Amazon don’t take responsibility and you can’t find any information about them even Amazon didn’t want to give information about them. Summary good product, bad supplier

Lovely sharp responsive tablet
Really pleased with this tablet. Clear, sharp screen, good wi-fi reception, good battery life and good performance for day-to-day tasks with multiple apps active and using spIit screen which works well and is still sharp. I haven’t tried demanding tasks or games, or put the speakers to the test yet, so can’t comment on those. Samsungs settings menu is very different to what I’m used to, so I have found it very difficult to do certain things. I pluged in a memory stick and it took me over half an hour to find out how to unmount it safely. It was different on this tablet to what I could find on the internet, so I think they’ve changed the way things function from previous versions. The manual doesn’t cover those sort of things either.

Only 3GB of Ram not 4GBb as stated in main ad and specifications
A good tablet at the price. From feedback I was aware that it was probably misdescribed but it will do what I want. However once its running with the preinstalled software there is less than 1 GB Ram left to use (0.9gb) so if you are a gamer it will probably not suit you.

Best mid ranged tablet out there
I was worried about the 3GB of ram but for things like web browsing, checking emails, apps – it’s actually really fast. Ram is only important for multitasking which you wouldn’t do on a mid ranged tablet. The screen was also a worry, but it’s nice and bright. While not as colourful as other tablets it still has nice colours and a large screen. The build quility feels premium as it’s mainly metal. The quad speakers are outstanding for a tablet at this price. It truly sounds amazing. Please buy this tablet.
